One-to-one coaching

A thinking partner for your next steps

Sometimes what you really need is the chance to think clearly. To untangle what's going on, make sense of your options, and work out what feels right for you. One-to-one coaching gives you dedicated time and support to do exactly that.

Two trees standing side by side

One-to-one coaching is where I do some of my most rewarding work. Focused time to explore your specific challenges and develop practical approaches that actually fit your life. No scripts. No pressure. Just a calm, non-judgemental place to think.

How it works

Each coaching relationship is unique, shaped by your specific needs and goals. Here's what you can typically expect.

Initial conversation

We'll start with a 45-minute conversation to explore what you're looking for, how I might help, and whether we're a good fit for working together. This is completely free and comes with no obligation.

Coaching sessions

Individual sessions typically last 60–90 minutes, giving us enough time to dive deep into the areas that matter most to you. Sessions can be in person or online via Zoom, depending on your preference and location.

Flexible arrangements

You might benefit from a single session to work through a specific challenge, or a series of conversations over several months to support you through a period of change. Most people find that a minimum of six sessions gives enough room for meaningful change and progress, but the shape of the work is your choice. You can pay as you go and pause or end the coaching series at any time.

What makes my approach different

My coaching combines thoughtful questions with practical strategies. Together we'll create a calm, non-judgemental place to talk things through.

Coaching with me can help you to:

  • Speak openly about challenges without judgement from me
  • See situations from fresh angles
  • Identify patterns that might be holding you back
  • Develop practical approaches to make progress at your pace
  • Build confidence, peacefulness and acceptance in your decisions and abilities

With over 20 years of coaching experience, I know that finding your way forward isn't always easy — but you don't have to do it alone. I'll help you make sense of where you are, figure out what's next, and take steps that feel right for you. You've got more options than you think, and I'll help you find them.

Practical details

Pay as you go

Pay for individual sessions or block-book a series. No long contracts and no hidden extras.

Booking

Sessions can be booked up to three months in advance. You can choose a blend of in-person and online options to suit your availability.

Location

In-person sessions take place in Newcastle upon Tyne, North Tyneside or South Northumberland. I have a private and comfortable office in the centre of Whitley Bay, close to street parking, bus links and the Metro.

For online sessions, I use Zoom and will send a secure link. Sessions are arranged to suit your schedule and time zone, and can be recorded if you prefer.

Walk This Bay

From April to October, I offer coaching outdoors — walking the coastline of Whitley Bay and the surrounding area. A long walk and a big question turn out to be a surprisingly good combination.

Is it the right time?

If you're wondering whether this is the right moment, it probably is. Most people come to coaching either at a turning point (new role, new business, new stage of life) or at a friction point (stuck, overthinking, tired of trying to solve something alone). Both are good starting places. The worst case is you spend 45 minutes talking to someone who listens well — and nothing more.

How we'll work together

A simple three-step plan

No contracts, no pressure. A clear path from curiosity to coaching.

  1. Book a call

A free 45-minute conversation so we can get to know each other.

  2. Explore together

We'll talk through what you're facing and what kind of support would be most useful.

  3. Agree a plan that fits

Pay as you go, online via Zoom wherever you are in the UK or beyond — or in person by arrangement.

Imagine approaching your work with renewed confidence and clarity

Whether you're leading, building, growing or rethinking something, coaching can help you untangle challenges, think more clearly and take meaningful action in a way that feels sustainable and relevant to you.
